Updating RUMM2020 purchases

Latest Upgrade No.: 4604.0012

Latest Upgrade Date: 15 February 2007

If your Upgrade No. is 4600.0162 or less then it is appropriate to update your version. The Upgrade No. is on the About Form which is accessed from the Help/About Menu on the main display for RUMM2020.

Latest Upgrade [15 February 2007]:

* Addition of new t-test strategy for subset pairs of items - associated with the Test Equating strategy.

* Addition of Fit Residuals in the Facet strategy.

* Overhaul of the Subtest routine - occasional problems have occurred in the past with some analysis types.

* Update Displaying RUMM2020 Manual to include t-test strategy.
* Addition of expanded section in Chapter 6: "Using Templates" (pages 62+) of the Getting Started Manual - details on how to use the special facility of the Item Specification Template for creating non-contiguous scoring function structures. This is especially useful if required to re-score many items.

Previous Upgrade [8 November 2005]:

* Upgrade reference to 'Getting Started' and 'Displaying RUMM2020' Manuals.

* Adjustment to plotting DIF display following European format update.

NOTE: the DIF segment of RUMM2020 may not display properly in some cases for the 4600.0159 upgrade. This now fixed in the latest update 4600.0162.

NOTE: The original RUMM2020 installation MUST be on your PC as the update will first check for RUMM2020 and then update only those files required. This is a larger update file than on previous occasions.

The Interpreting RUMM2020 Monograph

This monograph is in three Parts and describes how to interpret the RUMM2020 output when conducting a Rasch analysis. In the process, it describes the Rasch measurement model.

Each Part can be downloaded as a separate PDF file which requires the Adobe Reader installed on your PC:

* PART I : explains the Rasch model for the special case of (ordered) dichotomous data.

* PART II : explains the Rasch model for the general case of polytomous (ordered) category data.

An update for the "Poltyomous" document was release on 28 July 2005. Check this date on the front cover of your present copy.

* PART III : considers some introductory ideas of measurement noting the importance of the concept of the Guttman structure.
